I know this video is old, but I want advise… I have a dog I got just the other day, she’s a year old and from the moment I walked her out of the shelter she wouldn’t move from the door so we had to pick her up and carry her. It was the same case when I brought her in the house and took her back out to see if she’d go pee. She had to be picked up and walked out otherwise she’d lay in front of the door with the saddest look. I don’t know what to do to motivate her to come out but once she’s outside she’s back to being gentle and loving and walking around. Is that normal? I probably shouldn’t pick her up to get her through the doors but I have no clue what to do, first time owning a dog, really but I love her to bits.
Love this channel but I am hearing impaired and wish you had closed caption
I think you need to take your Dalmatian to the vet.
I am going to meet Ranger, a Humane Society dog, 10 month old pitty mix. I’ve seen him online, wanted to meet, but he got adopted and then returned to the shelter, I found out when I asked the shelter after seeing his photo reappear.
I have 11 yr old Jack Russell. Its fairly quiet n xalm environment.
Watching videos to prepare for the new household member n keep my tiny dog safe. It said Ranger is good with other dogs n kids. I have a fenced in area, first stop before going inside!! He n Jack Russell will have the big marking fest.
What to give to chew?
New kennel will be established prior to bringing him in, 1 in livingroom n 1 in bedroom, secured when I need to leave n sleep. Never alone with Jack Russell until sufficient bonding n trust developed.
Easing him into our life. Keeping him exclusively to myself for 1st 2 weeks, bonding, learning each other, maybe a trail walk.
Planning on dog training classes too.
