  1. Her vet probably told her to add heart and
liver and she did not hear that. The vet likely
said you need to add an oil (salmon or fish)
and calciaum supplement and then she
    ignored that too.

She wanted to make a cute video and she skipped
a lot of important and “gross” add ins that look
    weird on camera.

She is your average ignorant PET dog owner.
That amount of rice would have been “okay” IF
she was working with TEN pounds of meat and
    1 – 2 pound of liver/heart.

I do put rice in my dogs food. But I am cooking
10 – 15 pounds of meat to only four (4) cups
of (cooked) rice. I only add the rice for two reasons
reason number 1 tho help strech my budget just a little
bit further, and second because my 14 year old
terrier needs the rice to help her have better stools.

did she even add any calcium? I don’t think she did.

    ugg.

  2. If you’re going to be hyper critical, why not offer a recipe he thinks is healthier. This is quite similar to what I prepare for my Great Pyrenees and Golden Retriever, however I don’t add three cups of rice. That’s entirely too much. A touch less than a full cup is plenty. And always use brown, not bleached white rice. Cranberry and apples are great additions I add to my recipe.
